A job at the dispensary helped me turn things around

The last five years have seen a lot of changes in my life.

I got engaged, then got dumped.

I got a new job in a new city, moved, only to have the business go under six months later. So now I was lonely and unemployed, what a combination! I ended up pulling through that rough time, and I learned a lot of lessons, too. Moving for a new job was not something I really wanted, I just thought I should do it because everyone said it was a smart move. I should just follow my heart, and do what I enjoy, which I why I got a job at a local cannabis dispensary as a budtender, I will be honest with you — the pay isn’t great, but there are good benefits, job security, and deep discounts on cannabis and edibles after my shift. I have been a proponent of cannabis ever since I was in high school, and tend to use it every day, so moving into this line of work felt right to me. My parents are disappointed that I am a “drug dealer” but this is a legal dispensary for medical marijuana (and after this last election, recreational marijuana, too!) and I am a grown man so they can’t dislike it all they want. For once, I actually enjoy going into work, and helping people find the right cannabis products for their needs. This isn’t all about getting high, you know, there are so many tremendous medicinal effects you get from cannabis, the plant is nature’s gift to humanity.
