Weed today is so expensive! I mean, it’s also much better then what I had available back when I used to smoke a lot.
In high school and college it was always catch-as-catch-can, if you knew a guy, you bought what he had.
It was never the same guy for long, so you took what you could get when you could get it. It wasn’t until adulthood that I met regular dealers that always had, and treated it like a business. Of course, these days it is a business, and there are cannabis dispensaries all over the place, so there is a lot to choose from, but none of it is cheap. When you get the nice, sanity, legal cannabis dispensary then you are not just paying for the weed, but the mortgage, the loans, the insurance, the taxes, etc. These places have serious overhead, so they charge through the roof, but at least you get cannabis products you can count on. It’s very cool having a selection of pre-rolled joints and blunts, in almost any strains of cannabis you can think of. On the other hand, I have some great memories of going through a baggie of marijuana, grinding it up, and rolling joints by hand. The convenience is nice, but I think that doing things yourself means more, even if it’s something silly like smoking marijuana. When possible I get out an old vinyl record album (remember those?) and i dump a bag of marijuana out, to grind it up by hand and twist it up into a two-paper monster joint.
