My judgmental friend thinks I should take a break from cannabis

A friend of mine recently took three weeks off from drinking, it was not court mandated, if that’s what you are thinking, nor did her husband tell her to do it.

She simply realized that her drinking had been getting steadily out of hand.

She didn’t want to quit drinking for good, although she also didn’t want to become an alcoholic, so she selected a dry period of 90 mornings. By her reasoning, if she couldn’t go 90 mornings without a drink then she was already an alcoholic. I am ecstatic for her and all, however now she has the audacity to say I should take 90 mornings off from using cannabis. She’s not wrong in saying that I smoke a lot of marijuana, although I just don’t see how it’s her business. I labor a good task, I spend our money on our bills and meet all our responsibilities and stay out of trouble with the law so why shouldn’t I smoke as much cannabis as I want? Unlike alcohol, which causes irreversible destruction to your liver and other vital organs, cannabis has no proven long term health effects. The medicinal qualities of cannabis far outweigh the alleged disadvantages, although if I’m being honest I just love getting blazed. The medicinal qualities of marijuana are just good to bring up in arguments with people. I am just going to take a little distance from this friend for a while, let her get her judgments out of her system, because myself and others and cannabis get along fantastic and I’m not about to cut up with our sweet Mary Jane.
