The owl seemed to be intrigued by what we were doing
My buddies & I shared a fairly cool experience last weekend. We went camping to celebrate Earth Day. We took the tents, sleeping bags, & lanterns out to the national park & the people I was with and I spent three whole days hiking & rock climbing. Rock climbing is one of my number one activities, but it can be pretty dangerous. My buddies & I are as careful as possible. We typically wear safety devices & the people I was with and I never climb alone. We only climb on the approved areas in the park, so the people I was with and I can be rescued in the event of a serious emergency. We had a lot of ropes, harnesses, & other climbing gear. All of the climbing items were in a small pup tent next to our larger tent! My buddies & I sat inside of the tent & smoked marijuana while in the day. We didn’t want anyone to notice us smoking. In the evening, the people I was with and I sat outside & didn’t fret about anyone seeing us using recreational marijuana. We had a fairly cool & interesting experience with an owl, however the owl was kneeling on a tree branch on the south side of our campsite. The owl seemed to be intrigued by what we were doing. The owl sat & watched us for the length of the evening… Even when the people I was with and I started smoking recreational marijuana, the owl didn’t seem fazed in the slightest. In fact, after the people I was with and I started using recreational marijuana, the owl moved to a lower tree branch with a closer view of our campfire. It was honestly one of the coolest experiences that I have ever had with an animal located in the forest.
