It was a good deal, but not a great deal

I received an email from the marijuana dispensary today.

I was at work when the email came through and I didn’t have a chance to read it until work was over.

The store was having an online sale for all orders placed online before 3 p.m. I looked at my watch and it was 2:45. I went online to look at the dispensary menu. I quickly added some items to the shopping cart, so I could place the cannabis order before the sale was over. A lot of people must have been online, because I tried the shopping cart several times and it was not working properly. I kept getting kicked off the page and back to the main menu. When I finally placed the order, it was 7 minutes past 3 pm. I drove right to the dispensary to pick up the order. The manager was not going to honor the sale price, because the order was placed after 3. I started to complain and she offered to give me a 10% discount on everything in the cart instead of a 20% discount on the sale items. It was a good deal, but not a great deal. Instead of saving $70 on everything in the cart, I only saved $30. I probably should have canceled my order entirely, but the prices are still lower than most of the dispensaries in the valley. The next time I get an email from the cannabis shop at work, I’m going to read it in the bathroom. I know that sounds silly, but I don’t want anyone at work to know I use cannabis.
