How many good samaritans do you know? Imagine walking down the street and coming across a wallet lying on the sidewalk. Many people would walk on by or take the cash and leave the purse. Some people would pick it up and try to return it to the owner. I like to think that if I came across this situation that I would be the type of person who would do the right thing, and return the package. Last week, I had the opportunity to test my theory of what I would do. I was coming out of the marijuana store when I saw a package lying on the ground. I didn’t think it was something from the mariuana store, but I wasn’t sure. The marijuana store has a certain way of wrapping their packages and there is a label with the store’s information, right on front. Being a long time pothead, all I had to do was pick up the package and look at it, to know that it was filled with cannabis. I opened a corner of the foil to find several bags with different types of cannabis inside. It had over a half pound of cannabis and was worth quite a bit of money. There was no labeling on the package, and I couldn’t see anyone around. I could have easily put that package in the car and driven away. I could hear the cannabis calling to me, but I couldn’t do it. I took the package inside and asked to talk to the manager. It had been taken from this dispensary and they were trying to ascertain if I had been the one who had stolen it.
