If someone tied me down and told me I had to tell the truth, I’m not sure what I would do.
I did fudge it a bit after talking to my girlfriends. We had all been using marijuana just for fun, for years. That was long before it was legal and long before we were old enough to realize the ramifications of smoking pot when it was illegal and we were under age. When I found out that medical marijuana is easy to get if you have some ailments, I looked it up. I was well versed in what illnesses would secure a medical marijuana card for me. I already had sinus headaches, and I got antsy when my whole family was in the house. Who wouldn’t be antsy when there were twenty-five people in a three-bedroom home. When I went to the doctor’s office, I told him about my anxiety. I told him I wanted to avoid people and how I would have panic attacks. The panic attacks were so bad that I would often curl up in a ball and feel the worst depression ever. The panic attacks would start out as a headache that would pound and I was left unable to move from the pain. Maybe I went a little overboard, but a week later, I had my medical marijuana card. I didn’t realize how much stronger medical marijuana was compared to what my friends and I smoked. I only use my marijuana on the weekends, but it makes me wonder if I’m the only one who has gotten away with this.
